Ballistics [Review]

Perhaps one of the fastest games you’ll ever play, along with some other racing games, old school FPS titles, and maybe Sonic the Hedgehog, Ballistics is all about breaking the speed barrier in your PC. Unfortunately, not a lot of people know about this game.

Sweden, a country that has hot girls, big meatballs, awesome pro gamers, The Pirate Bay, and a legendary educational system. A part of that system is game development it seems as they have schools for it and some of the coolest games ever come from this country.

Ballistics is one of those games, and it was released back in 2001 when I was a clueless and oblivious high school student. Although one thing that I wasn’t oblivious to back then was a good game like this.

Addendum

There are other games that have a similar premise and gameplay speed, like Proun and Accelerator. Perhaps I’ll get review to them as well someday.

Summary
It's that speed that you'd seldom find in today's "realistic" games that make games like this appealing in their own way. Put on some good drum-and-bass music and you're all set, and it only gets better once you've memorized the tracks and upgraded your speedbike.
