Veterans Don't Quit When They Should

A major issue I had to deal with in 2024 is the myriad reasons I’ve been told to quit whatever I’m doing for the sake of whatever I’m being told is more important and urgent — taking care of my mother, getting married and settling down, and the futility of what I do. I was told these things by people who know barely anything about how I live and what I do. I can’t ignore their advice for I have two functioning ears and a brain that retains information too well. While I don’t have enough disposable income right now to indulge in buying elaborate pieces of plastic to put in jars, it did lead me to improving my typing speed. The Peculiar Aversion to Hotkeys

For once, here’s a post written about a pet peeve of mine. If you’re not into reading other people’s rants, then you may want to close this. This is about people who like to do things the hard way on computers. Instead of pressing Ctrl-Shift-Esc to open Task Manager, they would press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and click on Open Task Manager. Instead of Shift-Delete to permanently delete files, they right-click on the file and click delete, then click Yes to send to Recycle Bin, then right-click on the Recycle Bin and click on Empty Recycle Bin and click on OK to empty the Recycle Bin.
