End of 2018 State of Affairs

Cuphead going eww

Time for another update post. The gap between the most recent post and what came before it is almost four months. That gap is due to life getting the best of me, and it’s becoming clear that I’m not making the most of what I pay to keep this website self-hosted. It’s not too serious, but it’s enough for me to want a change in my life. This is me trying to figure out what happened, what went wrong, and what can be done in the future. (more…)

MWF Balikbayan — Wrestling Comedy of Errors

MWF Balikbayan

There are no excuses for how late this turned out other than sitting on my hands the whole time while typing this with a pencil between my teeth. Same thing goes for MWF Balikbayan, a show that faced a laundry list of difficulties coming in, and it proved to be quite the learning experience. MWF Road to Fate — Near Perfect Amid Compromise

MWF Road to Fate

After all, I worked in the event as well. (more…)

MWF Republika — Freedom and Progress

MWF Republika

Up against what could be a sophomoric jinx, Manila Wrestling Federation came up with a card that had less gimmicks and fancy stipulations, depending more on better booking and building storylines to carry things through. There are still some stumbles (like me announcing the wrong guy again), but there is indeed significant progress. With that progress comes freedom to do more things that can make for better shows in the future. (more…)

MWF x MCS — The First Sign of Madness

Manila Wrestling Federation Live at Makati Cinema Square Arena

After a week of mulling over it (or more like being lazy), I finally mustered the drive to write about this event. For their very first proper show, outside of showcases like that in History Con and so on, Manila Wrestling Federation hasn’t done too badly at all. There are certainly growing pains, but the talent and passion are indeed there as MWF has finally officially thrown their hat into the local pro wrestling scene here in the Philippines. (more…)
